Fulton cleared the first hurdle with ease on Wednesday night with a rain soaked 4-0 run past Malone Franklin Academy, but the road to a Class A boys’ soccer title will get considerably tougher on Saturday when the Raiders play host to Section 2 champion Queensbury.

The nationally-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team registered five of the game’s final four goals to storm back and beat the Carleton Place Canadians in its final exhibition game on Saturday night. Oswego is ranked 10th in the country in both national preseason polls.

Oswego held its annual end of season invitational tournament on October 20 with Oswego and 7 other teams from around Central New York coming together for a final tournament – Fulton, Westhill, Oswego, Auburn, Fowler, Marcellus, South Seneca and Solvay.

The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team came out hot, punishing Nazareth College for three goals in the first seven minutes en route to an exhibition victory at home on Saturday.

We served well and played some great defense, but visiting Fulton kept us on our heels all night. I am very proud of how hard our girls fought and stayed in the match throughout all 3 sets.

The Oswego State women’s and men’s ice hockey teams will have their first contests of the 2018-19 season on Saturday in exhibition games in the Marano Campus Center Arena. Oswego’s women will faceoff with the London Jr. Devilettes at 3 p.m. prior to the men hosting Nazareth College at 7 p.m. for Residence Hall Night.

We had several close sets in pool play and went into the silver division where we started with Bishop Ludden in the semi-final match and beat them two sets to none and with that win put us into the silver championship match with South Seneca.

Five years ago, champion non-wing Supermodified car owner John Nicotra and ISMA Supermodified champion Dave Shullick Jr. worked out a partnership with Jim Bodnar and Otto Sitterly that has since helped shape some of the key components of both Sitterly and Shullick’s Supermodified driving careers.
