It’s here! The wait is over, the 61st Budweiser Classic Week is upon us at Oswego Speedway as four different divisions in cars will take place in one of the richest, most well-known short track racing spectacles in the country.
With Oswego Speedway’s contingencies for this Sunday, September 3’s Budweiser International Classic 200 for the Novelis Supermodifieds announced a bit earlier this afternoon, track management is pleased to reveal the payout, contingencies, and driver bonuses for the 26th Bud Light Classic 75 for the Small Block Supermodifieds.
Oswego Speedway’s contingencies for this Sunday, September 3’s Budweiser International Classic 200 for the Novelis Supermodifieds have continued to thrive this season, with over $15,000 being paid to the 34 drivers set to start the marquee event for non-wing Supermodified racing.
It’s official, the 61st annual Budweiser Classic Week at Oswego Speedway is now upon us. With campers from across the continent beginning to move in at 6am Sunday morning, those already on the grounds will have the opportunity to smell the methanol of the Supermodifieds for the first time of the week on Monday, August 28.
Coming into Saturday night Jimmy Phelps sat third in points and he knew he had to take matters into his own hands to have a shot at the Tracey Road Equipment Modified Track Championship on Saturday, September 2. Phelps went out and won the 35-lap feature after a tough battle with Billy Whittaker making the winning pass on lap 27 and putting him just one point out of the championship chase. The thirteenth consecutive season of the popular Novelis ‘Fan Can Chase’ at Oswego Speedway is now in the books and it was yet another successful endeavor, with more than 116,000 cans being collected through three events, pushing the all-time can count to nearly 1.4 million.
It’s a busy time of year as Oswego Speedway continues to reveal Budweiser International Classic 200 and Bud Light SBS Classic 75 contingencies and bonuses before on-track action gets underway with the 61st Annual Classic Week next Friday. For the third year in a row, Oswego Classic Can-Am Camping Group is back onboard
For the second consecutive season, Central New York Chevy Dealers will back the front row of the Budweiser International Classic 200 sponsoring the $1,000 Fast Time Award and $500 Outside Pole Award.
Come Budweiser Classic Weekend at Oswego Speedway, there will be yet another accomplished Small Block Super veteran in the mix of over thirty cars already signed up to qualify for the 26th running of the Bud Light Classic 75 on Sunday, September 3.
