A huge field of cars greeted a large crowd Saturday at the Fulton Speedway for racing and Demolition Derbies night. In the 35-lap Tracey Road Equipment Modified feature, Tom Sears Jr. took the lead from Adam Roberts on lap 28 and then had to hold off Jimmy Phelps and Larry Wight for the popular win.

The top-seeded Oswego State baseball team saw two leads dissipate in an 8-7 loss to No. 8 Roanoke College in its first game of the 2017 NCAA Division III College World series on Friday afternoon (May 26) at Fox Cities Stadium. Oswego (32-10) will now face Concordia University Chicago (33-12) at 10 a.m. (CDT) on Saturday in an elimination game.
Eric Hamilton of the nationally-ranked Oswego State baseball team earned All-America honors from both ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com on Thursday. It is the second-straight year Hamilton has appeared on those entities’ All-America squads, collecting second team accolades from both in 2017. The Lakers are in action today (May 26).
A program that began with opening day May 13 which will continue throughout the speedway’s full-schedule with the exception of Budweiser International Classic Weekend, guests will have the opportunity to stay at the Holiday Inn Express for a discounted 10% off rate after purchasing tickets to the speedway’s racing program taking place during their stay.
While Oswego Speedway’s fan favorite Memorial Day Weekend program featuring the Jim Shampine, Jack Murphy and Tony White Memorial events for the Novelis Supermodifieds, ISMA Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS will not officially take place until Saturday, race fans and teams will have the opportunity for a taste of what to expect this coming weekend throughout the evening Friday.
The Oswego Speedway and Novelis, the series sponsor of the famed Supermodified division, are proud to announce the return of the popular ‘Novelis Fan Can Chase’ in 2017. In the past seasons, this recycling partnership has surpassed the million mark in recyclable cans, resulting in more than $70,000 being donated back to various community initiatives by Novelis.
With all the rain the Brewerton Speedway has received the grounds have become very saturated. To save fans and race teams time and expense, speedway officials have cancelled Friday, May 26, racing. You can still get your need for speed May 27 at the Fulton Speedway when one of the more popular nights on the schedule will take place with racing and demolition derbies.
The Syracuse Stampede of the NA3HL have announced their relocation for the 2017-18 season to ‘The Port City’ of Oswego. The Stampede, who have played the past three seasons out of Morrisville, will now call the Anthony J Crisafulli or ‘The Fort’ in Oswego their new home and officially change their name to the Oswego Stampede.
One of the fan favorites on the Fulton Speedway racing calendar will take place this Saturday, May 27, when fast-paced dirt track racing and crunching metal of demolition derbies happen on the same night presented by Scott Jeffery’s Performance Plus, MJ’s Music Bar & Banquet Facility and Ox Creek Performance.
