Race of Champions Modified Series Added to July 8 Oswego Program

The Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series will return to Oswego Speedway for its second and final appearance in 2017 on July 8.

A full field of Ground Pounders is expected to join the already action-packed racing program with a 67-lap special presented by Century 21 Galloway Realty and Helena Chemical Company.

Divas on Track Return To Speedway

Led by trophy girl Mackenzie Coleman and established prior to the 2015 season, Oswego Speedway Divas on Track allows girls ages 5-18 to be trophy girl for the night at the Steel Palace. More than two dozen divas have signed up and participated in the program over the course of the past two seasons to take part in the evening’s trophy girl activities with Coleman.

Oswego Speedway will open for its 67th consecutive season of racing action this Saturday, May, 13 with a triple header presented by Mitchell’s Speedway Press of Oswego featuring kickoff events for the Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS as well as the Richie Evans Memorial 61 for the Ferris Mowers Race of Champions Asphalt Modifieds.

Rain, Cold Doesn’t Halt Fulton Little League Opening 15th Season

A chilly opening day and a rainy first week hasn’t halted the kickoff of the 2017 Little League baseball and softball season in Fulton. Players from all divisions gathered together last weekend to officially begin the season with help from league officials and the Syracuse Chiefs minor league baseball team mascot, Scooch. Roughly 280 participants from 23 teams ranging in age from 4 to 12 years old lined the first and third baselines of John Florek Field as Fulton Little League’s vice president, Dave Weber and president, Florek introduced the 15th season of Little League in Fulton.
