A total of eleven registered cars and drivers took part in the inaugural event of the Shea Concrete Triple Crown Championship Series presented by ASI Racewear on Saturday night at Oswego Speedway with TCCS follower Dave Shullick Jr. earning his first career Novelis Supermodified non-wing main event win at the Steel Palace aboard the John Nicotra Racing No. 2.
Friday night at the Brewerton Speedway, Tim Sears Jr. was involved in a mishap that saw him go off the speedway on a tow truck ending his night. All day Saturday, Sears and his race team had to replace the entire front end and other damage before heading to the Fulton Speedway. All their hard work paid off as Sears won the 35-lap Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modified feature after a hard-fought battle with Larry Wight.

On a beautiful Friday evening, nearly 30 racecars took to Oswego Speedway for its annual open practice session with Keith Shampine and defending Pathfinder Bank SBS Classic Champion Mike Bond leading the speed charts. A total of 15 different Novelis Supermodifieds were on hand with 14 machines recording official lap times on the fast 5/8 mile oval.
The inaugural season of the Shea Concrete Triple Crown Championship Series presented by ASI Racewear takes the green flag on Saturday night at Oswego Speedway and the ‘Jersey Jet’ Joey Payne will be in action driving a former Mike Muldoon machine now owned by west coast racer Don Penix.
Just days before the Shea Concrete Triple Crown Championship Series of Supermodified racing presented by ASI Racewear is set to begin at Oswego Speedway, Oswego Supermodified standouts Mike Muldoon and Tim Snyder have declared their intentions to compete in the ultimate championship in Supermodified racing.
The Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series will return to Oswego Speedway for its second and final appearance in 2017 on July 8.
A full field of Ground Pounders is expected to join the already action-packed racing program with a 67-lap special presented by Century 21 Galloway Realty and Helena Chemical Company.
On the high speed and thrills race night will be the Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modifieds, SUNY Canton DIRTcar Sportsman, Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman and JB Logging & Firewood 4-Cylinders.
