The Oswego State men’s basketball team claimed sole possession of first place in the SUNYAC standing by fending off Brockport 78-75 on Friday night in Max Ziel Gymnasium. Oswego now holds a 14-4 record overall and a 10-1 league mark while the Golden Eagles fall to 15-4, 10-2.
The Oswego State women’s basketball team suffered a 70-62 setback to Brockport despite an impressive first-half defensive performance on Friday night in Max Ziel Gymnasium. With the loss, the Lakers drop to 5-13 on the year and 2-9 in SUNYAC action.

The National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators presented Oswego State Athletics with two first place awards out of three categories for the NADIIIAA/JOSTENS Community Service Awards, given at the NCAA Convention on Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.

A winner of 26 Novelis Supermodified main events at Oswego Speedway, including the 1976 International Classic and the 1985 track championship, Steve Gioia Jr. will step in as the Chief Technical Advisor at the Steel Palace in 2017.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team completed the season sweep of New Paltz with an 81-52 road victory on Tuesday night at the Hawk Center. With the win, the Lakers improve to 12-4 on the season and 8-1 in the SUNYAC while New Paltz drops to 1-13, 0-8.
Fulton shut out Oswego, 2-0, in the championship game. Earlier in the tournament, Fulton’s Kyle Hood scored his first-ever goal. He was congratulated by both teams as well as all the coaches and fans.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team defeated the Plattsburgh Cardinals 83-82 at Memorial Arena on Friday evening. Oswego is now 10-4 and 6-1 in the SUNYAC on the year.
