The Oswego State women’s basketball team closed out its season with a 75-53 loss at Cortland on Friday evening in Corey Gym. Oswego opened the game on a quick 5-0 spurt, coming on a jumper and 3-pointer from Courtney Ameele. Cortland responded with a 15-0 run of its own, a lead the Red Dragons would never relinquish.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team had its regular season and six-game winning streak come to an end with a 72-61 loss at Cortland (18-7, 12-6) on Friday night. With the loss, Oswego will enter the SUNYAC Championship with an 18-7 overall record and an 11-7 mark in SUNYAC play.
For the fourth consecutive year, Oswego Speedway is dueling with some of the premier motorsports facilities in the world for the top spot in the Speed Sport ‘My Favorite Track’ Poll. Last season Oswego finished in the fourth position overall, ranked with facilities such as Ohio’s Eldora Speedway and Iowa’s Knoxville Raceway.
After a successful and fan favorite A-Verdi Storage Containers 360 Sprint Car Series last season, 2016 will see the races increased to five races.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team celebrated Senior Night with a 75-67 win over visiting Geneseo on Tuesday in Max Ziel Gymnasium. Oswego extended its win streak to six with the victory and hold a 9-1 record in its last 10 contests. On the season, the Lakers are now 18-6 overall and 11-6 in SUNYAC action.
Losurdo Racing and driver Anthony Losurdo will be putting on its annual Oswego Speedway Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super racing fundraiser this Sunday (February 21) at Lighthouse Lanes beginning at noon. The fundraiser will feature barbeque chicken or pulled pork dinners for $10.
The All-Academic Team honors varsity athletes who have earned a minimum 3.3 grade point average for the semester in which they competed.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team stunned the nationally ranked Plattsburgh Cardinals 90-74 on Saturday afternoon in Memorial Hall. With the victory, Oswego hands the Cardinals just their second conference loss of the year and clinches a spot in the SUNYAC Championship.
