The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team has hired Greg Haney as its full-time assistant coach as of July 2015. Haney joins the Lakers after spending a year at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point when the Pointers made a run to the national championship game before falling to Trinity College.
Oswego Speedway and Supermodified racing will fill the national airwaves beginning in the month of August with the Jim Shampine and Jack Murphy Memorials kicking off a late summer stretch with partners MAVTV and Suzuki presents Speed Sport.

Jimmy Phelps, one of the most popular drivers with the Fulton Speedway fans, returned to victory lane in the Tracey Road Equipment Modifieds Saturday night. In the 35-lap Modified feature, Adam Roberts would lead the opening 9 laps holding off early challenges from Jimmy Phelps until lap 10 when Phelps would blast into the lead. Once out front Phelps was a rocket as he was never seriously challenged the rest of the distance outrunning point’s leader Billy Decker by almost two seconds at the finish.
