Oswego Speedway Novelis Supermodified veteran Pat Lavery returns to the ‘Steel Palace’ in 2014 with more confidence and swagger than ever, as he again prepares to climb aboard the Double Deuce Racing No. 22 with renewed championship aspirations.

Oswego Speedway Small Block Supermodified driver Mike Bruce will be holding a race team fundraiser on Saturday at Woodchuck Saloon in Oswego beginning at 1 p.m. The Bruce Racing fundraiser will feature a $10 chicken barbeque which includes a ½ chicken, salt potatoes, roll, and a choice of baked beans or mac salad.

In a continued effort to remain family friendly and honor the countries active service members, Oswego Speedway will once again admit all kids aged 16 and under with a paid adult, and all active military members free of charge to all Speedway racing events in 2014 with the exception of Budweiser International Classic Weekend and Race of Champions Weekend.

“Outdoor Passion” television host and producer Ray Carignan’s enthusiasm for fishing is contagious. Viewers will get a glimpse of the phenomenal brown trout fishing that Carignan experienced in Oswego County on “The Early Summer Brown Trout Run in Oswego County” airing in April on the World Television Network. Carignan, host of the Montreal-based “Outdoor Passion” weekly television series, fished with Capt. Kevin Keller of Fishchopper Charters last June out of Mexico Bay.

Oswego Speedway’s 2014 Novelis Supermodified racing season is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated in several years, with no fewer than ten brand new racing machines scheduled to hit the ‘Steel Palace’ this spring. Among those drivers looking to debut brand new creations is third generation racing driver Michael Muldoon and former International Classic champion Tim Snyder.

For the second consecutive year Oswego Speedway is ranked in the Top 5 among America’s favorite race tracks according to National Speed Sport News Magazine. Each off-season National Speed Sport News conducts a reader poll across thousands of motorsports enthusiasts and race fans in the United States to determine America’s Top 10 Favorite Race Tracks.

Oswego Speedway’s popular Price Chopper ‘Tickets to Go’ program will continue in 2014 with discounted advance sale adult tickets going on sale at all Price Chopper Supermarkets locations beginning April 6.
