Oswego State men’s ice hockey player Paul Rodrigues (Etobicoke, Ontario) and women’s soccer player Shelly Bateman (Fulton, N.Y.) have been named the 2013 Oswego State Outstanding Senior Male and Female Athletes of the Year by the Oswego State Athletic Department.
The 23rd annual Lady Buccaneer Softball Mini Camp for girls ages 9-16 will be held June 24, 25 and 26 at the Oswego High School fields. The camp has a rain date of June 27. The cost is $45 per player. Enrollment is limited to the first 50 players.
The 52nd annual Novelis Supermodified ‘Kick-Off’ is set to take the green flag this Saturday at Oswego Speedway presented by Mitchell’s Speedway Press and CJ Ferlito Aggregates. A healthy field of Novelis Supermodifieds is expected to be in attendance for the 75-lap main event.
Oswego State softball players Tori Trovato (Fr., Fulton, N.Y./Millbrook) and Sammie Schroeter (Jr., Schenectady, N.Y./Schenectady) have been named to the All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Softball teams as voted on by the league’s coaches. Third-year head coach Casey Price was selected as the SUNYAC Sandra Hollander Coach of the Year.
Oswego Speedway’s Novelis Supermodifieds will take the green flag for the first time this season on May 11 and tickets will be available for only $14 at any Price Chopper Supermarkets location as a part of the ‘Tickets to Go’ program.
Oswego State junior goalie Nikki Greco (Syracuse, N.Y.), junior midfielder Mackenzie Kjerstad (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) and junior defender Megan McNulty (Holbrook, N.Y.) have been named to the All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women’s Lacrosse Team as voted on by the league’s coaches.
