Oswego Kartway will officially open its doors for the season on April 20 with a two-hour open practice scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. The Kartway’s test session will be open to any weekly division competing on a regular basis at the ‘Bull Ring.’ A $10 pit pass will be required to enter the pit area for the practice session.
With the help of Turning Stone Resort Casino, Oswego Speedway race fans will have the opportunity to give something back to their favorite driver at the conclusion of the 2013 racing season at the ‘Steel Palace.’
The Oswego State softball team (6-12, 3-5 SUNYAC) dropped a pair of conference contests to Plattsburgh (16-10, 6-4) by the scores of 6-0 and 5-4 on Sunday afternoon. The Lakers will travel to Potsdam for another twinbill on Monday.
Using hot bats and clutch hitting, the Oswego State baseball team (13-10, 6-4 SUNYAC) was able to complete the regular season sweep of Oneonta (9-18, 4-6 SUNYAC) in the Sunday doubleheader by the scores of 13-1 and 6-5. The sweep puts the team into third place in the conference standings and just a game out of first place
The Oswego State men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams qualified for four ECAC Championship events, broke a school record and posted numerous SUNYAC-qualifying results at the Coach P Open hosted by Moravian College on Saturday.
Feeding off of a solid pitching performance and taking advantage its opportunities, the Oswego State baseball team (11-10, 4-4 SUNYAC) defeated Oneonta (9-16, 4-4), 6-1, Saturday afternoon.
Oswego Speedway has long been known as the Home of Supermodifieds, but this race season will provide a first in the Speedway’s storied history. The Shea Concrete ‘Steel Palace’ ISMA SuperSeries will declare an Oswego Speedway winged Supermodified track champion over the course of four series dates beginning on May 4.

To qualify for the All-Academic Team, a student must be varsity athlete who has completed the entire season and earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.3 for the semester in which they competed. Distin, who is majoring in Biology, was a member of the fall 2012 women’s soccer team.
The Oswego State men’s tennis team (3-5) saw its winning streak come to an end when the Lakers fell to St. John Fisher (3-8) at the Mendon Racquet and Pool Club Friday afternoon.
