The full slate of 24 Novelis Supermodified spots have once again been filled, while for the first time in history the Pathfinder Bank SBS division has also reached its commitment maximum of 24 teams.

The second-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team (12-2-0) out-shot Elmira (5-9-0), 43-23, en route to a 5-2 victory Friday night in Elmira.

The Oswego State men’s basketball team (8-1) led by as many as 19 points against St. Lawrence (2-6) on Friday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium, but it took four clutch free throws from Sean Michele (Sr., East Rochester, N.Y.) to seal the 62-52 win.

The fans at Powers Gymnasium on Thursday night witnessed a wide open high school basketball game. Oswego rallied for a 76-67 victory over the visiting Auburn Maroons, but the win didn’t come easily.

Joe Gosek continued his climb through the Oswego Speedway record books on June 2, 2012, with a lap 24 pass of Dan Connors Jr., picking up his 41st career Novelis Supermodified main event win tying him for 4th on the All-Time Speedway win list with Syracuse Sports Hall of Famer Nolan Swift.

After posting a 9-1 record in 2012, the Oswego State women’s basketball team rings in 2013 by receiving two votes in the most recent D3hoops.com Women’s Basketball Poll released on Wednesday.

Meagan Stover (Sr., Lake George, N.Y.) scored eight of her game-high 24 points to open overtime to lift the Oswego State women’s basketball team (9-1) to a 63-51 win over the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg (5-7) in the consolation game of the Catholic University Courtyard US Capital Holiday Tournament Monday afternoon.
