Ithaca tops Oswego State Wrestlers

Hayden Ward (Sr., Montauk, N.Y.) once again paced the Oswego State men’s basketball team (6-1, 2-1 SUNYAC) with his third double-double of the season (22 points and 11 rebounds), as the Lakers defeated host Ithaca (3-3) 64-58 on Saturday.
Meagan Stover scored 20 points for the third time this season to lead the Oswego State women’s basketball team (7-0) to a 53-41 win over Rochester (6-2) on Saturday. It marked the program’s first victory over the Yellow Jackets, as Rochester had won the previous 13 meetings.
Paul Rodrigues scored with 4.4 seconds remaining to pull the second-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team (8-2-0) to within one goal, but it came up short in a 3-2 loss to ninth-ranked Utica (8-2-0) on Friday night.
Oswego Speedway is proud to be able to give back to the community that has given so much to the ‘Steel Palace’ over its now 63-year history. With the 2013 calendar year now on the door step, the Speedway is eager to continue into the new season.
