The Oswego High bowling team kept the season rolling along while the boys basketball and girls hockey team  gave it a good battle before falling to quality opponents.

Junior Lauren Nunziato netted a career-high 21 points in 15 minutes of action to lead the Oswego State women’s basketball team (8-0, 3-0 SUNYAC) to its eighth straight win, keeping the Lakers undefeated in a 73-44 win over Cazenovia on Friday night.

Sean Michele (Sr., East Rochester, N.Y.) scored a season-high 17 points to lead the Oswego State men’s basketball team (7-1, 2-1 SUNYAC) to a 73-57 win over Cazenovia (3-6) on Friday night.

OHS Swimmers, basketball, hockey and volleyball were just some of the winning teams in recent sports action. However, the winter season is in full swing and every athletic squad is having some sort of success.

Kody Graham, son of 2-time Mr. Novelis Supermodified Ray Graham, held off the hard charging advances of Joe Gosek and Michael Barnes in a three-way grudge match to cruise on to the memorable victory this past August.

The Oswego Lady Buc basketball team captured another win, while the bowlers started well and wrestlers also had some solid individual performances. Meanwhile, many others teams including hockey, jayvee and modified squads were also in action.

Hayden Ward (Montauk, N.Y.), a senior on the men’s basketball team, has been named the SUNYAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 9 after leading the Lakers to two single-digit wins. Ward also received this honor last week.
