Oswego State women’s soccer players, Bri Dolan (So., Fayetteville, N.Y.), Nikki Liadka (Jr., Liverpool N.Y.) and Shelly Bateman (Sr., Fulton, N.Y.), were named to the 2012 SUNYAC All-Conference teams as released by SUNY Athletic Conference Commissioner Azure Davey on Thursday.
Oswego High School volleyball teams are preparing for postseason play as they proved winners this week. In boys action the Bucs closed out the home season against Cicero-North Syracuse and swept the visitors 25-14, 25-17 and 25-23.
The Oswego State men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams suffered losses to RIT on Wednesday in the first dual meet of the season for both teams. The Laker women fell 150-83, while the Laker men lost 147-90.
The Oswego State volleyball team (12-16) honored its seniors by sweeping SUNYIT (12-20) in straight sets, 25-19, 25-16, 25-18, on Wednesday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium.
The Oswego State field hockey team (5-10) exploded for three goals in just over a two-minute span to lift the Lakers over Nazareth (6-11), 3-2, on Tuesday afternoon.
