Freshman goalie Grace Lombardi (Ossining, N.Y.) kept the Oswego State field hockey team (3-10-1, 1-4-0 SUNYAC) within striking distance of Geneseo (10-4-0, 4-1-0), but in the end the Lakers fell 2-0 on Friday afternoon.

The Oswego State volleyball team (10-14) was unable to match the firepower of 11th-ranked Cortland (25-2) in a straight-set loss (25-15, 25-15, 25-15) Wednesday night. The Red Dragons hit a blazing .292 on 30 kills and just nine errors.

The Oswego State men’s soccer team (4-9-1, 3-4-1 SUNYAC) weren’t able to capture a fourth straight conference win as they fell to host Brockport (8-6-0, 6-1-0 SUNYAC), 5-1, in Saturday’s State University of New York Athletic Conference matchup.
