Oswego junior Cory Keefe, placed first in the 110 meter hurdles at Thursday’s Section 3 State Meet Open Qualifier, to earn a berth in the New York State Track and Field Championships, to be held Friday and Saturday, at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

Brewerton Speedway’s June 1 Racing Program Rained Out
Tonight’s racing program June 1 has been rained out at the Brewerton Speedway.
Racing will resume June 8 as Stadium International Trucks presents a full night of high speed action featuring the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds as they look for their sixth different winner in six events so far in the 2012 season.

Fulton Pentathlete Mark Aldasch Jr takes 2nd at State Quals
On Thursday three boys from the boys’ Fulton Track and Field Team competed at Cicero North Syracuse High School in the New York State Quals. They are the two Section III Champions Mark Aldasch Jr (Pentathlon) and Dylan Holden (Steeple Chase), along with Qualifier Casey Holden (High Jump) twin brother of Dylan.

On Wednesday the Bucs and Raiders lady lacrosse teams met in not just any game, but the Section III Class B championship encounter. It was a battle throughout, but in the end the Bucs advanced to the state tournament with a 13-7 victory.
