Despite not playing since October 25, the Oswego State women’s soccer team claimed the ECAC Upstate New York Championship, 2-1, over Brockport behind two goals from forward Nikki Liadka (So., Liverpool, N.Y.), avenging a 2-1 loss to the Golden Eagles earlier this season on Friday afternoon.
The Oswego State Mens Club Hockey Team went 2-2 in recent home and away games.
On Wednesday at Cicero-North Syracuse High School the top two seeded teams clashed for the sectional crown. Oswego and Baldwinsville squared off for the third time this year and once again Oswego came away with the victory. This was the first time the boys’ volleyball team has captured the Section III title.
Seven Oswego High School student-athletes officially announced their intent to continue their academics and sports activities during National Letter of Intent signing at OHS on Wednesday. Athletic Director Scott Sugar welcomed students, parents, grandparents, siblings, teachers, coaches, administrators and members of the Board of Education to the signing ceremony.
