Oz Roller Girls to Host Doubleheader June 11th

Masso-Kiss-Tic Mandy (Mandy Guynup) of the Oz Roller Girls blocks a jammer from Watertown's Black River Rollers in a recent home win for Oswego's first flat-track roller derby team. She has led a balanced scoring attack during the Oz Roller Girls' three-game win streak in their debut season. Medusa's Might (Erin Place) of Oz looks on at right. Billy Clark Jr. Pockets $1,500 in the Sportsman; Alan Johnson Takes Top Honors in the Big Block Modifieds at Fulton Speedway

After a hard fought 20 laps Billy Clark Jr. took the $1,500 top prize. Clark took the lead on a lap 16 restart from race long leader Tim Schneider, and then held off Sammy Reakes IV for the popular win.

Hannibal Softball Team Raises Money for Cancer Research

Pictured are from left to right, Penny Leonard (Hannibal Coach), Alexis Stephens, Tiffany Cook, and Adrienne Shortslef.  These girls helped raise the most money from Hannibal's team.Combined, the teams raised a total of $1,384.00. Corcoran won the first game of the double header and Hannibal won the second game.

OHS Sports Teams Wrapping Up Seasons

Oswego Tennis  capped off another quality season with a fourth place finish at the Section 3, Class A Tournament at Syracuse University. On Monday, the Oswego girls’ varsity golf team finished its 2011 regular season with a victory on Monday over West Genesee by a final margin of 219-228.
