The Oswego High School girls’ lacrosse squad scored a 17-11 victory over Massena to advance to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class B State Tournament semifinal. And Oswego sophomore Corey Keefe continued to display his tremendous athletic talent. He will take part in the state meet this coming weekend at Cal-Mumford in the Rochester area.
Pat Ward Out Duels Jimmy Phelps to Become the First Repeat Big Block Modifieds Winner at the Fulton Speedway
Pat Ward came into Saturday night at the Fulton speedway looking to improve from the problems he had the night before at the Brewerton Speedway. Ward did just that as he was able to run down defending track champion Jimmy Phelps with 2 laps to go to win the 35 lap Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified Feature.

The Tri-Oswego 2011 Triathlon is on the final leg of planning for the June 25-26 event and preparations are moving along smoothly, according to Ron Nelson, Tri-Oswego Race Director.

With temperatures reaching nearly 140 degrees on the field the Oswego and Carthage girls’ varsity lacrosse teams squared off for the Section III Class B title. It was an emotional and physical roller coaster as the teams gutted it out before the Bucs advanced to the state regional competition for the first time in the history of the program with a 15-14 victory.
