As a multi-arts center serving the region, something is happening all the time at CNY Arts Center and these changes are worth noting.

The delivery deadline for the upcoming Color My World Juried Art Show, July 10-12, has been extended to July 10 at 4 p.m.

Artists are asked to pre-register and must deliver art by 4 p.m. for hanging in the exhibit.

The exhibit will be open to the public on July 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and July 12 from noon to 4 p.m.

A reception for the artists will be held on July 12 from 2-4 p.m. where winners of first, second, third and honorable mention and best of show will be recognized.

CNY Arts Center also announces the signing of Don Gillespie to serve as judge. Gillespie’s exhibit “Kindred Spirits” will be on exhibit during the art show.

Arty Camp has recently added Glee Club to the lineup July 20-24.

This musical group for ages 8 and up will be directed by award-winning singer-songwriter Gina Holsopple, music director of several CNY Arts Center theatre productions and local musician/teacher.

Students will enjoy singing popular songs with friends and preparing for Parent Showcase to take place August 21 at the end of Arty Camp.

Glee Club replaces Irish Dancing due to scheduling issues.

Children need to be pre-registered for this and all Arty Camp programming which includes six weeks of art classes at the Arts in the Heart Studio downtown, 47 S. First St., along with Dance and Theatre classes at the Center located at 11 River Glen Drive on the CCC Campus in Fulton.
