OSWEGO, NY – If the lingering winter weather has given you cabin fever, Woodchuck Saloon might have the cure.
Get out of the house and head to the popular local restaurant on March 31 for a chicken barbecue to benefit the United Way of Greater Oswego County.
Dinners will be available from noon to 4 p.m., or until sold out.
United Way Resource Development Director Lexie Wallace said she is grateful for the continued support the organization receives from Woodchuck Saloon.
“This type of fun, informal event is a great way for people to learn more about the United Way while supporting our mission of ending hunger, building successful youth, and ensuring wellness throughout the county,” Wallace said. “We are thankful that Woodchuck Saloon has once again allowed us to use their space and delicious menu as a way to connect with the community.”
The dinners will be $10 each and will include chicken, salt potatoes, a roll and Woodchuck-style baked beans, a side that is unique to the bar, explained Wallace.
“The baked beans are homemade with Woodchuck’s own barbecue sauce,” said Wallace. “And there are a few secret ingredients that help add more flavor and even a little kick. Everyone loved them at our last barbecue.”
Pre-sale tickets for the United Way chicken barbecue are available at Woodchuck Saloon and from United Way staff.
