A View of History: The Oswego City Band

Linda Goodness sends along the photo and this information: "As City Band is set to begin it's 75th Anniversary Season, on June 30th, we thought it would be great to share a photo from a 'bygone" summer season. This photo is taken of the band, on August 14, 1968, directed by Weldon "Slim" Grose in front of City Hall on Oneida Street. The current band wagon had not yet been purchased, although the Oswego Chamber had sent a resolution to the Mayor's office requesting such a band wagon in 1964."

  1. THANK you for these historical photos. Many cannot be found in any of the history books (or even photo books by Arcadia Press that circulate on the region). So, they are special in that way.

Further, many viewers/readers enjoy local history, so that is a second plus.

    Keep up the good work!

THIS one is esp. fun. Thank you, Linda Goodness!
