Americu Credit Union Supports Memorial Day Salute

FULTON –  The Fulton Memorial Day Salute Committee has announced that Americu Credit Union is a major sponsor for this year’s event.  The salute will take place on Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23, at the Fulton Community Center.

Founded 76 years ago in Rome, NY, Americu opened its Fulton branch in April of 2025.  According to a Memorial Day Salute spokesperson “Americu is a first-time sponsor of the salute, we are grateful for their assistance in making this event possible”.

The theme for this year’s Memorial Day Salute is “Together We Remember – 250 Years of Service & Sacrifice.”  The event will feature the traditional Saturday morning parade, rides, vendors, food trucks, entertainment, 5k run, Friday night Watchfire, youth basketball tournament  and fireworks on Saturday night to close out the celebration.  The Fulton Memorial Day Salute is organized by local volunteers and the Fulton VFW.  For further information on the event, go to its Facebook page under “Fulton Memorial Day Salute”.
