The awards program recognizes outstanding performances in Professional and Non-Professional Theater in Central New York.

The nominations are the first recognition of the SALT Awards Academy for the multi-arts center located in Fulton.

“We are deeply honored to be included with the talented theatre community in Central New York,” said executive director Nancy Fox. “We appreciate the acknowledgement for the hard work and dedication of so many professionals at all levels. We are also delighted to see the spotlight shine on Fulton with these nominations.”

Nominations include four nods to Twelve Angry Men including Play of the Year, Jessie Dobrzynski as Best Director of a Play, William Edward White for his Lighting Design of a Play, and Garrett Robinson as Supporting Actor in a Play.

Other nominations include Sabrina Woodward as Supporting Actress in a Play in the classic Harvey presented last fall, and two nominations for Godspell to Chad Lewis for Set Design of a Musical and Jonathan Hedges for Sound Design of a Musical.

In addition to recognizing directors, actors, and designers, each theatre company was invited to name a Non-Performing Person of the Year who has made a significant contribution to the company.

The Arts Center chose Jen Marriner as their person, citing her contribution from the first production to the present serving in multiple capacities as parent liaison, archival photographer, box office manager, and long-time supporter for her family’s participation in arts center programming.

The awards ceremony will take place November 5 at Syracuse Stage.

CNY Arts Center is located at 11 River Glen Drive on the Cayuga College Fulton Campus and in downtown Fulton at the Arts HotSpot, 47 S. First St.
