OSWEGO, NY – Two Oswego High School students, Michael Gill and Courtney Lavere, received recognition at the Kenan Center All State Photography Competition this month..
More than 300 entries were submitted from throughout New York State in the prestigious annual event.
Gill was recognized with an honorable mention and Lavere won a Best of Show-Waterscape, as well as received a monetary award.
Teacher Warren Shaw, said, “It is a pleasure to see these students recognized for their creative and artistic talents, especially in what is an extremely competitive venue.”
Lavere, a junior, will return to OHS next year.
Gill, a senior, will attend Cazenovia College where he intends to pursue a career in photography.
