Simple acts of kindness can brighten another person’s day, are often an inspiration, and have the power to create a positive ‘pay it forward’ movement.

A shining example of this is a random acts of kindness project that was coordinated by Maureen Bennett’s class at Oswego County BOCES.
Bennett’s students kicked off their kindness project by spending some time in the Floral Design and Greenhouse Technology program at OCB.
The young students worked as apprentices under current Career and Technical Education students in the program, learning how to make a simple, single carnation wrap.
With their flowers completed, Mrs. Bennett’s students were given the opportunity surprise a complete stranger by presenting him or her with a flower.
The small and generous acts of kindness created a movement of good will and happiness throughout the school.
