Brookfield Shows Support For Paddlefest

OSWEGO, NY – Steven Murphy, manager of licensing and compliance for Brookfield Power’s NY West Operations, presented a $500 check to Jackie Sheffield, associate director of the Oswego YMCA, in support of the June 29 Oswego “Rock the Locks” Paddlefest.

The paddling event starts Saturday morning in Minetto and concludes at Lock 8 in Oswego.

Festival activities, including live music, refreshments and vendors, will take place Saturday afternoon at Lock 7.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Oswego YMCA Strong Kids campaign and Oswego Harborfest.

Paddlers may pre-register online at www.ezracereg.com or register beginning at 8 a.m. June 29 at Riverview Park in Minetto.
