CAC’s Deputy Director, Carol Gazitano stated, “Together, with input and coordination from the members of our Community Action Team, we decided to hold our 5k on the first official weekend of summer and incorporate a fun, and free, community event that focuses on summer safety. As part of our ongoing efforts to engage with, and provide resources for the community, we decided to co-sponsor this event with the city of Fulton Parks and Recreation to help raise awareness of some of the hazards typically encountered during the summer months along with information and activities designed to help keep our children safe all year long!”
Gazitano continued, “The 5k and Community Event will be held rain or shine on June 22nd with many of the activities for the community event being held right inside the War Memorial’s ice rink area. Registration for the 5k Run/Walk, along with sponsor information can be found in the events section of the Child Advocacy Center’s website: oswegocac.org.”
