Catholic Charities To Participate In Crop Hunger Walk

FULTON, NY – Representatives from Catholic Charities of Oswego County will be participating in this year’s CROP Hunger Walk for Oswego County.

Scheduled for Oct. 3 the CROP Walk will begin at 1 p.m. at the Fulton Municipal Building on South First Street.

Each year, more than 2,000 communities across the United States join in more than 1,600 CROP Hunger walks.

More than five million CROP Hunger walkers have participated in more than 36,000 CROP Hunger walks in the last two decades alone.

While CROP Hunger walks raise funds for hunger-fighting efforts around the world, a portion of the funds raised during the CROP Walk for Oswego County will be used to support hunger-fighting programs in Oswego County.

In addition to waking in the CROP Hunger Walk, staff from Catholic Charities of Oswego County will be recruiting other walkers, selling paper feet at their Thrift Store for customers who would like to support the walk, and will have a collection jar for donations at the office and at the Thrift Store.
