Heavy Rain Traps Fishermen, Floods Roads

splashThursday’s heavy, continuous rain has caused flooding in many areas around the Port City and trapped more than a dozen anglers in the Oswego River. About 17 fishermen had to be rescued from an island near the Varick Dam on the west side of the river.

Lowe’s to Join ARISE in Building Ramp

On Saturday, October 2nd, employees from Lowe’s in Oswego will roll up their sleeves and construct a ramp at the Wilcox home 2333 County Route 176 in Fulton. The ramp build will start at 9:00 a.m. at the home that is located right across from the Oswego County Airport.

OHS Sports Roundup: Buc Golfers Top Liverpool

An eighth grade golfer paced the Oswego High School golf team to victory while the varsity soccer teams played well in victories. Meanwhile, the swimmers were solid in their most recent meet and the girls’ volleyball team continues to win.
