Celebrating Women’s History Month At Oswego Library

OSWEGO – On March 11 at 1 p.m., the Oswego Public Library will present author Susan Savion in its Community Room located on the lower level of the library (120 E. Second St).

Savion, author of “Quoting Matilda” will discuss her newly published book and the life of Matilda Gage.

Gage participated with Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton in improving the rights of women.

She fought for women’s rights to own property, their right to participate in government and equality for women in the 19th century.

She championed women inventors and inspired her son-in-law Frank Baum in his writing of the Oz books.
