OSWEGO, NY – “Santa Hat Day†was a Charles E. Riley Elementary School Student Council “school spirit†initiative.
It was held to support the Riley Gift giving project.
For a voluntary contribution of a quarter, students were given the privilege of wearing Santa hats, reindeer antlers or a fun winter hat for the day.
The children loved hat day and it created a very festive spirit in the building.
Most importantly, $95 was raised which was used to purchase food items for the gift giving project.
