Rotary Assistant District Governor Jenny Doane was also in attendance.

Doane presented the club with a District Award for increasing its membership by 25% over the previous year, one of the largest increases in membership in the entire district.

The slate of officers for the 2017-18 year is:

President: Kevin Hill, President-Elect: Warren Shaw, Vice President: Katie Pagliaroli and Secretary/Treasurer: Cindy Tascarella.

Each year, Rotary International designates a Presidential Theme to govern the year of service.

The 2017-18 Presidential Theme is “Rotary: Making a Difference” and according to Rotary International President Ian H.S. Riseley, “However each of us chooses to serve, we do it because we know our service makes a difference in the lives of others…we know that the work we do will change people’s lives – in ways large and small – for the better.”

The Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club meets every Thursday at 6:30 a.m. at The Oswego Tea Company.
