Chicken Barbecue Jamboree To Benefit Children With Special Needs

FULTON, NY – Tickets are still available for the ninth annual Jamboree Fundraiser to benefit Parents of Special Children.

The event will be held on May 16, from 1 until 5 p.m. at the Fulton’s Oasis Thunder Island.

The family event, which will include chicken barbecue, live entertainment by Bloodline, door prizes, 50/50 raffles, and children performances, is organized by the Parents of Special Children staff and board members.

Parents of Special Children is a 22-year-old not-for-profit community agency that provides supportive services to families raising children and adults with disabilities.

Services include respite care, caregiver reimbursement; assistance with special requests, advocacy, and recently the agency has organized and been host to a local group of parents of children with Autism called Connections.

The agency is supported by the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.

Advance sale tickets can purchased for $10 each in Fulton at Struppler’s Shurfine or at Hair We Are Salon, and in Oswego at Flowers by Mr. John’s or Paul’s Big M.
