Child Advocacy Center Opens New Office

FULTON, NY – One of our area’s most vital agencies, the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County, celebrated the opening of its new location, 301 Beech St., with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The opening culminates a nearly two-year long search to find a new home for the CAC.

Now housed in the former St. Michael’s rectory, the CAC is poised to serve its consumers in a more comfortable, convenient location.

“We are excited about our new location and are very appreciative of the efforts of Garry and Connie Standard for making this move possible. We are looking forward to inviting the community to join us for an open house in the spring when we will offer tours of our facilities and educate people about the many services that we offer for Oswego County children and their families,” said executive director of the CAC, Karrie Damm.

Established in 2001, the CAC is a non-profit organization that maintains a well-coordinated, effective approach to child abuse investigation and prosecution.

The CAC works with a multidisciplinary team, comprised of community agencies including prosecution, law enforcement, child protective services, medical providers, therapeutic professionals, victim support professionals and the district attorney’s office, to provide services to child victims of abuse and their families at no charge.
