Cindy Schmidt Named Artist of the Month

OSWEGO – Painter Cindy Schmidt is being featured as Artist of the Month for September at the Riverside Artisans Cooperative.

“I’ve gone through a rapid revolution that began with painting portraits and seascapes,” she said. “I have settled into creating fantasy, fairy tale paintings and The Cranky Cat Collection, using acrylic paint on stretched canvas, canvas panels or hardboard.”

She is well-known for her Cranky Cats paintings.

Her work is available as original painting, prints, tiles, tee-shirts and calendars.

To honor Schmidt as September’s Artist of the Month, Riverside Artisans is holding a free raffle of her work.

The winner will receive their choice of a 6 x 6 inch Cranky Cat tile.

Stop by the shop at 191 W. First St. to fill out a raffle ticket to register for the drawing at the end of the month.

No purchase is necessary.

The winner will be notified at the end of September.
