What lurks beneath the rocks in streams? Come find out while unearthing a whole new world. Join Nature Chris on Saturday, July 26 from 2 pm – 3 pm and we will lead you in making your own stream critter craft, then slosh through a shallow, slow flowing stream looking for crayfish, aquatic insects, salamanders and minnows with a dip net. You won’t believe all the critters that live in this stream! You’ll get a bit wet so wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet.
Stream Slosh and the entire Clover Kids series is designed for preschool children ages 3-5 with an adult companion. There is a $3.00 adult/child pair and an additional child participant is $2.00. Nonregistered siblings are not permitted. Registration fees will be collected on the day of the program. Stream Slosh is an indoor/outdoor program. All program participants need to be dressed to go outside. Clover Kids is designed for families. Schools, youth groups, daycare centers and playgroups need to make a reservation for a separate guided program.
