CNY Arts Center Spotlights Esteemed Mystery, Crime Novelists

FULTON – On June 5 from 2-4 p.m., the CNY Arts Center will be hosting its quarterly Authors Spotlight series which features local authors.

The event will feature suspense novelist Stan Wilczek Jr. alongside with mystery author Frankie Y. Bailey.

Wilczek Jr. was born in Utica and published his first novel in the spring of 2006.

He has since published three more works with his most recent title, Last Witness.

Upon his retirement from Niagara Mohawk where he spent 12 years as vice president, Wilczek has become a member of the adjunct staff of LeMoyne and Keuka colleges where he teaches statistics and a number of business-related courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Bailey is a PhD and full-time professor at the University at Albany where she is the project director of the Justice and Multiculturalism in the 21st Century project in the School of Criminal Justice.

Outside of the academic setting, Bailey is a mystery novelist of such works as the Lizzie Stuart mystery series and her latest title What the Fly Saw, book two of the Detective Hannah McCabe mystery series.

The CNY Arts Center’s Authors’ Spotlight is free and open to the public.

Both authors will be available for book signings at the event.

The event will be held at the Arts Center located at 11 River Glen Drive in Fulton.
