FULTON – CNY Arts Center will host national touring comedian Lucas Bohn October 7 at the Oasis at Thunder Island for an evening of fun and celebration in support of the arts.
Assemblyman Will Barclay serves as honorary chairperson for the fundraiser event where all proceeds will benefit the Fulton’s Future Project to build a better future through the arts.

“Lesson Plans to Late Night” is a one-man comedy show about Bohn’s transition from elementary school teacher to national touring comedian and called “A Comedic Multimedia Masterpiece,” “Hysterical” by Parade Magazine.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for food, beverages and pre-show festivities to include gift baskets, door prizes, silent auctions and a live auction for accommodations at Chase Lake Lodge in the Adirondacks.
The evening will also premiere CNY Arts Center’s new promotional video created by Daylight Blue Media as the result of a grant from The Gifford Foundation, along with a preview of the new youth comedy improv troupe, Slouch Hat Productions.
The one of a kind comedy show combines live standup comedy and visual images and is one of the highest rated main stage shows on Norwegian Cruise Lines, labeled “Truly Innovative” and “A total crowd pleaser” by cruise directors and entertainment coordinators.
Nominated as 2013 “Comedian of the Year” by Campus Activities Magazine, Bohn was awarded Best of the Fest at the Detroit Comedy Festival and placed runner-up in the Magners Comedy Festival.
His comedy is both smart and audacious with a perfect blend of schoolboy charm and bad-boy charisma.
Known as the little guy who generates big laughs, Bohn has shared the stage with Dave Chappelle, Jimmy Fallon and Kevin Hart.
His high-energy shows and hilarious impersonations make him an instant hit with audiences of all ages.
In addition to performing on stage, he does voice-overs and has been featured on PBS, CBS, and Coastal Today.
He has performed for charities and fundraisers such as Childhelp, Habitat for Humanity and the George Washington Medical Center.
He also dedicates time supporting our troops by working with The Comics on Duty World Tour.
Bohn tours more than over 45 weeks a year and headlines shows at colleges, theaters and on cruise ships all over the globe.
Bohn also writes commercials and voice over scripts and in 2014, he teamed with the Nantucket Comedy Festival to create a teaching program for at risk youth on Nantucket Island called “Stand up and Learn.”
With a supersize stage presence and the swagger of guys twice his size, Bohn is a comedic force to be reckoned with.
The evening’s event will take place at the Oasis at Thunder Island under the new management of Ron Falise.
Thunder Island is located at 21 Wilcox Road, just south of Fulton.
