Community Alliance Church Shares Gift Of Song And More

NEW HAVEN, NY – Community Alliance Church shared the gift of song, cookies and punch each Saturday of Advent.

A few years ago, the church members decided to share their enthusiasm and joy in celebrating Jesus’ birth with the community through caroling.

An annual tradition looked forward to by church members and residents alike.

Last year, AWANA started meeting each Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

AWANA is a Christian youth group.

In hopes of showing the children the importance of community first-hand, they joined in the fun this year.

This past Saturday (Dec. 18) about 20 members of the church congregated at Simeon Dewitt in Oswego with some of the AWANA children to sing Christmas carols with the residents.

Smiles, laughter and song erupted with smiles lighting up the room.

This was the third year Community Alliance joined together with the residents to sing carols of new and old.

From White Christmas to Jingle Bell Rock – every mouth was singing with the children dancing and leading the way to conclude the evening.

Pastor Rick Sheets was MC.

The worship team consisted of Beth Sheets on flute, Edie Cole on the piano and Fran Loomis playing guitar.

The greatest Christmas gift one can receive is Jesus Christ and this was shared through the reading of Luke 2 during the caroling.

Christmas caroling is one way to share this gift with the community.

Merry Christmas!

All our welcome to join us for our Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m.
