Community Thanksgiving Dinner at State St. UMC Thanksgiving Day

Submitted article

The community is invited to attend Fulton’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner from noon until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 25. The free meal will be served at State Street United Methodist Church.

The dinner is sponsored by several local churches and the Fulton Salvation Army. Volunteers from throughout the community will take part in meal preparations and serving that day. “This is the fifth year of the Community Dinner and it grows every year, Volunteer Coordinator Muriel Allerton explained. “This is a wonderful community effort.”

Food and supplies are donated by businesses and organizations from throughout the area; flower arrangements are offered by local florists, and the placemats and wall decorations are contributed by local school children. “The entire community is involved in this dinner.” Allerton said. We are so pleased to be able to share the bounty in this way on Thanksgiving Day.”

Food and products for the dinner are all provided by local companies and organizations. This year’s partners include Plainville Turkey Farm, Birdseye Foods, Hudson’s Dairy, and Mimi’s Restaurants.
