OSWEGO, NY – Continental Arms Collectors Association’s Revolutionary War Interpretive Unit participated in the Flag Day Event, attended by more than 600 students, at Fort Ontario on June 14.
The unit interprets a company from the 1st New York Regiment, Continental Army in 1782.

Its encampment included a field kitchen where food was prepared for officers and enlisted men.
Napoleon’s maxim “An army marches on its stomach” was certainly true for George Washington’s Cointinental Army.
Pictured is Susan Wojakowski, who gave informative presentations on food preparation and cooking, with one of the many groupings to visit her area.
The unit’s next event will be the Fair Haven Independence Parade on Thursday at 7 p.m.
