OSWEGO – Faith United Church, 112 Mark Fitzgibbons Drive, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Deborah Johnson as interim pastor.

Rev. Johnson is a native of northeastern Pennsylvania, where she received her B.A. in Social Welfare from Bloomsburg University and a Masters of Social Work from Marywood University.
As a social worker, Johnson worked in the fields of Addiction, Children’s Mental Health, Domestic Violence, and Hospice.
Johnson graduated from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Va., in 2005.
She was ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in August of 2009, and most recently served as Chaplain at the Presbyterian Retirement Home in Clinton, SC.
In addition, she served as pastor of a small, historical church in Clinton, which is the oldest church in Laurens County, where she led worship each Sunday morning.
Rev. Johnson will worship at Faith United on July 16, taking advantage of the opportunity to meet parishioners.
She will lead worship on July 23, and remain with the congregation after the service for a pot luck luncheon.
