Famous Violinist to Headline June 11 Concert in Pulaski

PULASKI – Violinist David Fulmer, recently featured in the Great Performers Series at Lincoln Center and Live from Lincoln Center, will perform a concert in Pulaski with Symphoria pianist Robert Auler on June 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Fulmer, a graduate of the renowned Julliard School of Music in New York and a teacher at Columbia University, will join Auler in performing works by Mozart, Beethoven, Gabriel Fauré, and contemporary composer Oliver Messiean (1908-1992).

The concert is the last performance of the 2015-16 season for the LaVeck Memorial Concert Series held at the Pulaski Congregational Church, 27 Lake St., Pulaski.

The 7:30 p.m. concert will be followed by a Meet the Artists reception with free refreshments.

Fulmer is both an acclaimed violinist and composer who has recorded with several music ensembles.

He has performed with the New York Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic, among others, and at the Tanglewood Music Festival.

Auler, professor of piano at Oswego State University and artistic director of LaVeck Concerts, will accompany Fulmer on piano. Auler also has recorded several albums and performs with Symphoria in Syracuse and around the world.

The LaVeck Concert series honors the late local musician Rhea LaVeck. It is made possible with grants from the Richard S. Shineman Foundation, CNY Arts, the Central New York Community Foundation, and individual donations.

A donation of $10 adults, $5 students is suggested for the concert and reception, no admission is required.
