Fort Ontario Guided Ghost Reveal And Investigation Planned

OSWEGO, NY – On Oct. 16, beginning at 7 p.m., a new event featuring paranormal presentations showing results from several years of investigations, as well as, interactive ghost hunting will be offered at Fort Ontario State Historic Site.

Ghost investigators, Fort staff, and Friends of Fort Ontario volunteers will conduct guided ghost tours.

Electronic voice phenomena (EVP), images and stories will be featured.

Tour participants will listen to actual recordings caught at specific locations throughout the fort and will help gather and interpret new evidence during the guided ghost tours.

Tickets for the guided tours cost $10 by advance reservation and payment can be arranged by contacting [email protected] or calling Bobbi at (315) 343-4711.

Proceeds from the tour will help with future restoration and programming efforts at Fort Ontario State Historic Site.

Boots and foul weather gear are recommended; stairs and ramps will need to be negotiated.

This event is not recommended for those in poor physical condition or those who do not relish Oswego’s tempestuous weather, especially in the dark on unfamiliar inclined ground.

Light refreshments and donuts will be served.

Fort Ontario State Historic Site is one of six historic sites and 18 parks in the Central Region administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Carol Ash – commissioner.
