Free Speech Ball Looking To Make A Heavy Impact On College Campus Mentality

OSWEGO, NY – The SUNY Oswego College Republicans hope to make an impact on October 25 with a giant eight-foot tall beach ball, which students can write whatever they wish on.

The College Republicans hope the pro-First Amendment event will promote freedom of speech on college campuses, an issue which has been a bigger part of political debate as of late.

“Free speech is under attack on college campuses across the country. Our goal is to make sure SUNY Oswego doesn’t fall victim to this trend and remains a place to learn new ideas from all areas of the political spectrum.” said Tyler Toomey, the vice president of the club.

The event comes at a time where many students feel politically correct culture is destroying learning, inhibiting progress and limiting rights.

In addition to the giant eight-foot tall beach ball, the College Republicans will be handing out posters, Frisbees and various other giveaways.

The free speech event can be found in front of the Penfield Library from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 25.
