On Sunday, a group of Friends of Great Bear worked at Great Bear for Canal Clean Sweep and Oswego Earth Week.

As a main project, they worked on replacing the bench that they had installed nine years ago.
It had “become punky.”
Other volunteers worked along a main trail section heading to Whiskey Island, cutting back brambles and brush that had encroached into the trail.

GOOD!! My girlfriend loves that newer accessible trail with her chair!!!! Her daughter loves it too because she walks very slowly and falls a lot!!! It is so cute to see them be able to enjoy the trail together in their cat shirts!!!! Good work everyone involved!!!!
