FULTON – Volunteers planted several trees throughout the city on April 23.

As part of the Tree City USA forestation program, this program is designed to replace dead and diseased trees that have been cut down.
Volunteers from the Fulton Tree Committee, Price Chopper and Friends of Fulton Parks spread throughout the city planting trees that had been requested by city residents.

The program was coordinated by Parks and Recreation Superintendent Barry Ostrander, Kelly Weaver, Friends of Fulton Parks, The Fulton Tree Committee and Arborist Dan Carroll. Volunteers included Jan Rebeor, Steven and Janice Belair, Jim and Patricia Karasek, Cheri Lenhart, Jordan Richardson, Jodi Porter and Penny, Kaylee and Alexa Halstead.
In keeping with the earth friendly theme Jim and Patricia Karasek donated 50 LED bulbs.
