FULTON, NY- The CYO Summer Recreation Program at Catholic Charities of Oswego County will begin July 6 and continue through Aug. 13.
The program is offered free to children ages 7 to 14 in Oswego County (children must be 7 years old by July 1 to participate).
It is held Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Extended hours, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., are available upon request based on the needs of the family.

Children enjoy a variety of special events and activities designed to aid them in learning good sportsmanship, how to work as a team, positive interaction with peers and staff and meeting and making new friends.
Plus, each day the youth engage in structured and non-structured activities that will help them grow both physically and mentally.
Children may attend the CYO summer program daily or weekly if they choose.
Activities in the program include; daily recreational activities, outdoor recreation at local parks, special presentations and awareness groups, arts and crafts, a reading program for 7-10 year olds, and other fun activities.
There will also be three special themed days and three game days throughout the summer that include games, movies, snacks, and a piñata reflective of that day’s theme.
Trained staff supervises all activities and assists all participants as needed to ensure that they receive the full benefits of the program as well as help in their physical and emotional development.
Children receive a free lunch daily through the USDA Summer Feeding Program sponsored by the Food Bank of Central New York or they can bring their own if they wish.
Parent participation in the program is encouraged and appreciated.
Parents are welcome to attend game and themed days, assist with the reading program, and become involved in the many activities that the program provides for their children including the annual talent show.
